Did you know Microsoft has free learning tools to support students who struggle with reading and writing? Immersive Reader is a learning tool that can be used across all of the Microsoft programs and the Microsoft Edge browser. Immersive Reader allows the reader to change font size, text spacing, and background color. It will also allow the reader to split up words into syllables, highlight verbs, nouns, adjectives, and sub-clauses. Immersive Reader will read the text aloud and change the speed of reading. Not sure about the meaning of a word? No problem, it has a picture dictionary feature. The Picture Dictionary, a reader can click on a word and immediately see a related picture and have the ability to read aloud the word as many times as the child needs it read to them.

Are you ready to learn all about Microsoft Learning Tools? Rachel Berger is here to teach you. Rachel Berger is a Dyslexia & Learning Disabilities Community Consultant for Microsoft and is the Founder and Executive Director of Decoding Dyslexia Minnesota. She is also a mom raising a son with dyslexia. So, Rachel is no stranger to dyslexia. She is invested in helping children and families navigate the world of dyslexia.
