When your daughter is learning how to decode sounds and spending hours in remediation each month, you want her to have some success with reading. There are so many great children’s books, but you aren’t sure which books are best for children with dyslexia. It’s sometimes a challenge to find a book that is at your daughter’s reading level and that she is interested in reading. But, when you find the perfect combination of reading level and interest, her face will light up with success. Some books we will read to Haddie to enrich her vocabulary, so if you find a book that your child enjoys but the reading level is too difficult for her then consider reading the book aloud. Another option is to let your daughter listen to an audiobook. She can listen on a tablet or an Alexia device.
